Abstract: the article is devoted to the main socio-economic tools for realizing the intellectual potential of young people in Russia. The article focused on two main socio-economic tools for supporting young people in obtaining education for further realization of the intellectual and creative potential of young people – scholarships and educational loans. The analysis shows that the existing size of scholarships in Russia does not contribute much to the realization of the intellectual potential of young people, as it does not allow to meet even the basic needs of a person. The current system of education lending in the country does not allow young people to actively use it for education due to high-interest rates and the existing mechanism. To realize the intellectual potential of young people, it is necessary to change the existing system of socio-economic support for young people in Russia.
