CURRENT ISSUES OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

Abstract: in the conditions of integration of the world economy, international customs cooperation is one of the most important components of the economic policy of any state. The Russian Federation takes an active part in all integration processes. The international activity of the FCS of Russia is the activity of customs authorities carried out in order to ensure interaction with public authorities of foreign states and international organizations in the field of customs affairs, including representation on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation of the interests of the Russian Federation in the world customs organization and other international organizations.

International customs cooperation is a type of international relations aimed at joint participation in solving problems, providing mutual assistance in the customs sphere, as well as the development of legal, technical and administrative bases for the simplification of customs operations and procedures.

Currently, one of the priority areas of international customs cooperation is the Eurasian Economic Union, the Federal customs service of Russia actively cooperates with the customs services of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in order to solve the problematic issues related to the functioning of the common customs territory and the practical implementation of the Union’s mechanisms. In addition to the EAEU, international customs cooperation is actively developing with other integration associations, such as the CIS, WCO, WTO, BRICS, SCO, as well as in the framework of bilateral and multilateral agreements and treaties.

The importance of international customs cooperation, the presence of problems in this area and the need to solve them, the prospects and directions of its further development indicates the relevance of the research topic of this final qualifying work.
