Abstract: the article discusses issues related to the problems of mechanisms for attracting investment in the economy of the Chechen Republic.Today, the topic of attracting investments is especially relevant for our country, taking into account the diversity of regions, the different rates of their economic development, the state of production, financial, and business infrastructure. As the volume and effectiveness of attracting investment in the country’s economy directly depends on the investment attractiveness of its regions.Despite the large number of works on the issue of investment, investment activity and investment attractiveness, many aspects of this topic have not been thoroughly studied. For this reason, irrational and ineffective decisions are often made in the regions in the formation and implementation of investment projects. The study examined the works of leading economists and summarized the theoretical and methodological foundations for evaluating an investment project.The volume of investments in recent years is increasingly becoming the object of close attention of the Russian authorities, business circles and society as a whole. A growing number of scientific studies, conferences and round tables, publications in the media are aimed at analyzing investment activities in various sectors of the economy, at finding various ways to improve investment efficiency and at optimizing investment processes.The purpose of the article is to identify the features of mechanisms for attracting investments in the economy of the Chechen Republic and to propose measures to improve the mechanisms for attracting investments in the economy of the Chechen Republic. The research method is the normative-logical method.As a result of the study, the positive and negative features of the mechanisms for attracting investment in the economy of the Chechen Republic were identified. The key indicators characterizing the growth potential of the investment potential are analyzed. The ways of forming and improving the mechanism for attracting both domestic and foreign direct investment in the economy are proposed.The article discusses the main ways of investing in the economy of the republic, suggests directions for improving the mechanisms for attracting investment in the economy of the Chechen Republic.
