ASSESSMENT OF THE INVESTMENT CLIMATE IN RUSSIA AT THE END OF 2017

Abstract: this article describes the method of assessing the attractiveness of Russian regions by the national rating Agency. The assessment of the regions is formed by 55 indicators, after which each region is assigned a level of importance of the region for investment. A total of 9 levels were formed: high, medium, moderate. According to the obtained rating, five most and least attractive regions of Russia were identified and the dynamics of fixed capital investment in this region for five years was analyzed. The studied dynamics showed that the regions with the highest level have a positive trend towards investment growth, and with a low level the reverse situation. This made it possible to assess and identify the causes of changes in the volume of investment in certain regions and to consider measures to improve this condition. After that, the analysis was deepened and the volume of investments in fixed assets by types of economic activity in 2017 in the most attractive regions of Russia was considered.
