Abstract: the article deals with the problems, principles and current directions of financial resources management in the conditions of economic crisis. Knowledge and use of the basic principles of financial management in the current crisis, such as early diagnosis of crisis phenomena, prompt response to crisis manifestations, the adequacy of measures and policies, as well as the full implementation of internal capabilities, will allow businesses to prevent loss of solvency, increase competitiveness and efficiency. According to the results of the study, the main factors and causes of financial problems of financial management in business in the Russian practice are identified. In the light of current trends, the development of analytical diagnostic functions of business management is becoming important. Scientific and practical aspects of the development of the studied issues revealed the insufficiency, in modern conditions, of the existing traditional analytical approach to assessing the financial condition of an organization based on financial reporting information, the need to improve the analysis tools, take into account industry specifics, and refine existing criteria values that are adequate to the economic situation, in order to make optimal management decisions on extremely urgent problems of ensuring financial viability. The expediency of using additional methodological tools for analyzing financial statements, in particular, assessing the cash flows of the organization and the presence of overdue debts, is justified. A refined system of performance evaluation criteria is proposed as an information and analytical monitoring of the financial condition of organizations, in the context of analyzing the structure of assets, profitability of activities, payment and settlement discipline, and the sufficiency of own and monetary funds. Practical use of modern principles of financial management and the proposed analytical tools will allow controlling efficiency and consistency.
