Abstract: the study of the issue concerning the formation, development and functioning of the betting shop industry is an urgent problem in various scientific disciplines, as the betting business has been developing at a very rapid pace recently, especially considering technological progress and the introduction of Internet platforms. At the same time, understanding the foundation of the betting business reveals many economic, social and even socio-psychological consequences for society as a whole. It will also be important what social effects the activities of betting companies bring. It should also be noted that in the scientific world, especially within the framework of sociology, this problem is studied in very few works, and as a result, this circumstance inevitably leads to a weak elaboration of scientific arguments about the prospects and consequences of the activities of betting shops.
In connection with these statements, the relevance of the research is determined and the main goal is set. The paper clarifies the problems of regulating the betting business in the legal sphere. The method of applying factor analysis in betting is revealed. Legislative amendments that can solve these problems are also presented.
