THE INTERRELATION BETWEEN CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND GREEN LOGISTICS

Abstract: the article provides an overview of the concept of green logistics (GL) as main trend of the development of modern logistics and an integral condition and the basic system of the development of the circular economy (CE). Circular economy is means as a realization of a closed loop of material flows in the economic system. Green logistics is an important tool for the development of circular economy.  The relevance of the study is due to the accumulated problems in the global economy, which require the search for new approaches and solutions necessary to solve the complex task of redesigning key aspects of the current economy. While environmental issues have become critical concerns all over the world, organizations are constantly under pressure to develop environmentally responsible operations. Commitment to the natural environment has become an important variable. Therefore, the interest in developing green logistics from companies, government, and the society is increasing significantly especially because traditional logistics cannot meet the requirements of modern society and has huge negative impact on the environment. The purpose of this paper is to present determinant factors that can influence the development of green logistic concept in  companies as an element of sustainable development strategy. The article deals with the implementation of the principles of green logistics on the example of practices on the example of sludge management in the circular economy.
