Abstract: currently, the oil and gas industry is actively using digital technologies. Virtual modeling improves diagnostic service efficiency, Big Data optimizes processes, and industrial Internet minimizes human-related problems. The article discusses the main areas of application of digital technologies in the oil and gas industry, and it also highlights the main trends of using digital solutions in the oil and gas industry. These trends include the development of advanced analytics, process modeling of the entire value chain, process robotics, and a focus on solution integration. The article also discusses the economic impact of the introduction of digital technologies in the oil and gas industry. Practical examples of the use of digital technologies in the oil and gas industry and assessment of their economic impact are given. The example of intelligent support of drilling by means of implementation of Geonavigation, Geomechanical, Petrophysics modules in order to increase the efficiency of drilling in “Gazprom Neft” was discussed in more detail, and the economic effect of using these modules was estimated.
