Abstract: the quality of higher military education is one of the basic factors influencing the formation of the officer’s personality, which is a priority indicator of the entire army as a whole. In this regard, the issue of assessing the quality of higher military education is becoming increasingly relevant. The article discusses the main approaches to the management and evaluation of the quality of higher military education, in order to identify the most valid areas of evaluation of the quality of higher military education. The advantages and disadvantages of common approaches to the management and evaluation of higher education quality on the basis of which the article proposed the model of social control of the quality of higher military education, which are the subject-subject relations where the subjects of a different order constitute a collective subject of management through the development of a common system of evaluation criteria. The requirements for the level and quality of training of officers, as well as the criteria for the formation of these groups are also defined.
