Abstract: the article presents an economic and statistical analysis of the dynamics of trends in the regional labor market of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As part of the analysis, the regions of the Republic were grouped by the proportion of economically active population in the total population, as well as the study of employment trends in the regional context by forms of ownership. The analysis revealed groups with low, medium and high share of economically active population. The results of the study allow to develop priority directions of the state regional policy in the field of employment of Kazakhstan in relation to certain groups of regions. In the Address of the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan “Strategy “Kazakhstan-2030″ at a new stage of development” it is noted that the employed population is the main factor of competitiveness, efficiency and growth of the economy as a whole. In modern conditions, the development of a socially oriented market economy, the formation of the necessary conditions for the effective use of new incentives and mechanisms of economic growth through the implementation of social policy programs is of particular importance. In this context, employment issues are important in the ranking of economic priorities.
