MECHANISM FOR ENSURING THE GROWTH OF FEED CROP PRODUCTION

Abstract: the scientific article contains the results of an econometric study of feed crop production indicators. The production of forage crops is an important source of feed for the livestock industry. The purpose of the study is to identify the tightness of the dependence of factors that affect the gross harvest of forage crops. The econometric study of feed crop production indicators was carried out within the framework of the previously set tasks: providing an information base for the upcoming econometric study; preliminary economic and theoretical analysis of feed crop production indicators, which revealed factors that affect the gross harvest of feed crops; regression analysis of the gross harvest of feed crops, determining the parameters of the multiple regression model using the Gauss method; calculation of elasticity coefficients. The information base of the study is represented by statistical data on the gross harvest, acreage and yield of forage crops, presented on the official website of Rosstat of the Russian Federation. The practical application of the used research methodology is intended to show researchers the importance of conducting such econometric surveys, and the results of the study confirm the influence of acreage and yield on the gross harvest of forage crops. According to the result the econometric study revealed that the gross yield is reduced and the growth yield (increasing yield by 1% is associated with a reduction in gross yield of 1.53%) as the main impact of halving acreage (reduction of cultivated area by 1% led to a reduction in gross yield by 0.93%).
