Abstract: the article deals with actual problems of organization, planning and financing of the health system of the Republic of Tajikistan at the present stage. The author aims to identify current problems in this area, factors that influence the further development of the health system, and identify some problems. Based on the study of scientific and theoretical material on the organization and functioning of the health system and practical material on the current state of health in the Republic of Tajikistan, the analysis and evaluation of some indicators of the development of this sphere, as well as the main ways to further improve the mechanism of financing and management of health care in Tajikistan. In connection with the transition and market methods of management and their full use in all spheres of socio-economic activities of the state, including in the social sphere, which includes the health system, the issues and problems of financial security of the industry and the introduction of economic forms, methods and levers in the processes of governance, funding, monitoring the effectiveness and development prospects further development of the industry healthcare and medical services are highlighted.
