Abstract: the article deals with a set of issues related to the financial security of the country. The financial security of the country is considered to be one of its main elements in relation to the national security of the state. The purpose of this work is to determine the essence of financial security, formulate external and internal factors, as well as assess the degree of influence, including globalization processes, on the financial security of Kazakhstan, thereby determining whether there is a threat to the sustainable state of the country. Having conducted a comparative analysis of data from 2005 to 2018, presented in the annual report of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, namely, the indicator “external debt”, we can note a significant increase in this article. The growing need for financial resources requires an adequate assessment by the authorities. The research process uses a systematic approach and economic and statistical analysis. The article offers the main measures to ensure the financial security of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
