Abstract: the paper is devoted to the analysis of the main trends and problems that form the current state of health of the population of Russia, and the assessment of the impact of this factor on the socio-economic development of the state. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that Russia has a greater number of human resources, but is not able to manifest and realize its labor and intellectual potential, which is primarily due to the low life expectancy and low level of development of the healthcare sector. The article analyzes the dynamics of government spending and the volume of financing of the healthcare sector in Russia. The structure of expenditures in the health sector is analyzed. The relationship between population health and economic growth is analyzed. The main effects of the impact of increased funding for the health sector are considered. The main directions of the influence of population health growth on stimulating economic growth are described.
As a result of the study, conclusions were made about the need to increase spending on healthcare in our country, which will improve the quality of life of people in our country and increase their life expectancy. This will result in an increase in the number of workers and increase productivity. This will make it possible to increase the economic growth potential of the Russian Federation.
