Abstrac: the formation of modern management theory began in the 1960s and continues today. Over the past decades, management science has accumulated a significant scientific reserve of theoretical and methodological approaches to the management of organizations, the research of which the article is devoted to. The current state of the economy at the macro, micro and meso levels, in the context of the formation of the digital economy and fierce competition, due to the rapid development of science and technology, require organizations of all types and forms of ownership to rethink the process of making managerial decisions. It is becoming very important to introduce new effective management approaches to improve the management systems of organizations. The purpose of the research is to systematize modern scientific research in the field of management theory and analyze various points of view of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of modern approaches to organization management. The authors identified the advantages and disadvantages of existing scientific approaches to management using theoretical methods such as description, analysis and synthesis, additive method, and functional analysis. The results of the study revealed differences and inconsistencies in the theories of representatives of different schools of management caused by changes in priorities in the development of organizations that contribute to the emergence of a large number of scientific approaches to management, the analysis of which opens up prospects for further research.
