Abstract: legislation in the field of professional development (PD) of civil servants is considered, various forms of PD are studied. The article presents legislative acts in the field of PD and examines their impact on the organization of this process. Considerable attention is paid to the study of the impact of new regulations on the professional education. The importance of independent and remote technologies for PD of civil servants is considered. In addition to the mandatory conditions for PD, civil servants must be personally interested in the process of self-education and professional development.
