Abstract: the demographic situation in the Russian Federation in the Republic of Dagestan, in particular. characterized by the massive spread of the few children. The reasons for such a situation: material and moral difficulties, instability of the socio-economic situation, the crisis situation of society, uncertainty about the future force families to postpone the birth of children or limit the birth of one child. Reproductive health is a priority area of health care. The state of health of women and children is an objective and reliable indicator of the well-being of society. The health of the mother depends on the impact of various factors: socio-economic, psychological, pedagogical, economic, medical and organizational, and others, which dictates the need for a comprehensive approach to solving the problems of maternal and child health.
