GLOBALIZATION AND STOCK MARKETS AT THE PRESENT STAGE

Abstract: currently, globalization determines the course of development of the modern world system. Globalization processes affect every sphere of society – economy, politics, cultural sphere, social sphere and many others. This process is objective, as it is connected with the transition of human society from the industrial era to the post-industrial one. At present, there is significant integration of stock markets on all continents and in all regions, which also has a positive impact on globalization. In environment where capital is vital for the development of national economic and social systems, such a scenario should be regarded as threatening. In the modern world, another form of association of exchanges appears and is gaining momentum – association by signing cooperation agreements. Today, all countries can not successfully develop if we do not take into account global trends and problems of human civilization as a world community, for which the main task is to preserve peace, social and economic well-being, ensuring the world economic order based on liberalization, openness of the economy, freedom of trade and cooperation between countries. That is why globalization can be seen as a systemic transformation of society, which is accompanied by the weakening of traditional instruments of political management and the formation of a power vacuum, as a result of which globalization is emerging as a new social system, which inevitably leads to the aggravation of social conflicts. The focus should be on understanding the systemic risks posed by globalization, the structural and institutional effects of international communication, the new role of TNC and intergovernmental organizations, and the consequences of dismantling the social state. The article deals with globalization in general and its impact on the stock markets of the world and the Russian Federation at the present stage.
