Abstract: the materials of the article include a dynamic analysis of statistical data on the production of polymer pipes, hoses, fittings, polymers in primary form in Russia, as well as the existing demand for polymer products from housing and utilities companies.
Today, most domestic organizations in the field of water and gas supply are in the process of updating their equipment. One of the significant directions of reconstruction is the replacement of old, metal pipes with new polymer ones. At the same time, despite the unstable dynamics of the Russian market of polymer pipes in the last few years, it still remains promising and developing.
The main sectors of development are: housing, industrial and agricultural construction, development of housing and communal services, pipeline transport systems, etc. Special advantage is the breadth of our country’s territories and the existing interest in the products of domestic organizations from representatives of the CIS countries.
In addition to considering the main characteristics, trends, and prospects for the development of the polymer pipe market, the article also identifies, based on the analysis of statistical and regulatory documents, key problems that slow down the growth of the chemical industry in the country. The most significant issues of the industry were highlighted lack of qualified personnel, inadequate training and equipment of Universities, the lack of domestic high-quality equipment and advanced technologies, shortage of raw materials and the high dependence of Russian companies on prices and world market trends.
