Abstract: international integration processes are the main global trend, and despite the fact that the Eurasian Economic Union is a relatively young integration association and is still in the process of formation, it is moving forward quickly. With the growing economic ties at the regional level, the role of regional unions is growing, and in this regard, agreements have been concluded on the Free Trade Zone (FTZ), memoranda of cooperation with a number of states. The article analyzes the development of trade and economic relations between China and the EAEU as part of the pairing of the EAEU and the Chinese initiative “Silk Road Economic Belt” (SREB) or, as is often found in the literature, “One belt – one way”. Today, the SREB is the main project in the framework of the EAEU’s cooperation with China. In May 2018 a non-preferential agreement was signed on trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU and China, and entered into force at the end of October 2019. The development of foreign trade relations with the PRC and each member of the EEU and possible reduction in trade relations after the spread of COVID19 are considered. It is obvious that as a result of the integration of the countries, the project participants will get a progressive dynamic growth of the economy.
