Abstract: the construction industry is a complex diversified sector of material production and plays an important role in the development of the economy, in improving the quality of life of the population, but currently it is in a difficult macroeconomic environment. The business environment and conditions of state regulation of the construction and real estate markets are changing significantly. The article is devoted to the analysis of problems and opportunities in the investment and construction sector in the regional housing construction market. The main purpose of the article is to determine the current trends in the development of the regional housing construction market and construction industry enterprises that form the supply on the market. The article presents the main opportunities for increasing the investment activity of construction companies, considers the main factors of the primary housing market-supply and demand. The organizational specificity of construction companies in housing construction is emphasized. The article notes that it is important to comply with environmental requirements in housing construction. The research uses methods of synthesis and generalization. The obtained research results can be useful to scientists and specialists in the field of construction, as well as in the process of teaching and research to students and postgraduates.
