Abstract: the problem of the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Russia today remains extremely urgent, despite the fact that market relations have been consolidating in recent decades. Market relations cannot be imagined without such units of the economy as small or medium business due to their prevalence and accessibility for ordinary citizens of the country. It is worth noting that the economic systems of developed countries include a large number of employed citizens in this direction of the economic sector, which prompts the state to develop ways to stimulate small and medium enterprises, as well as improve the legislative framework for regulating their activities.
The article discusses the effects on small and medium-sized businesses of both external and internal conditions.
The main purpose of this article is to study the forms and methods of state support for small and medium-sized enterprises; targeted measures developed by State authorities and local self-government bodies for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
