PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF SMSB IN KAZAKHSTAN

Abstract: the main purpose of this study is to analyze the prospects and problems of innovative development of small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan.

This study is aimed at identifying the key problems of SMSB development in Kazakhstan. The general positions of innovative activity in Kazakhstan are defined. In addition, it provides statistical results of previous studies on the level of employment, interest rates set by banks, the market share of SMSB in GDP.

The results of this study showed that Kazakhstan has a low level of innovation activity. Companies face various barriers to innovative development, such as low labor skills, high interest rates on loans, strict collateral requirements, low investment in R & D projects, and low FDI. It also describes various programs implemented by the government in order to stimulate innovative development of the country.

Today, instead of focusing only on natural resources, Kazakhstan decides to give preference to innovative projects. Most developed countries pay great attention to innovation, because there is a clear understanding that it will lead to increased productivity of the enterprise. In addition, this study contains recommendations that would be useful for innovative development of SMSB. Innovation in different sectors has different perspectives, such as the perspectives of users/consumers, society and business. For example, the consumer perspective includes creating new products, solutions, and services for customers. Small businesses often use an entrepreneurial vision to introduce new products or processes.

In addition, the recommendations called for further research that would seek to identify deeper problems impeding the development of SMSB.
