Abstract: the article considers an important technical and economic category of production capacity of machine-building enterprises, the effective use of which largely determines the opportunities for their economic growth.
Modern methods of evaluating the production capacity of enterprises are considered: in physical terms of products produced by type and time of equipment use. It is emphasized that only existing equipment is used in the calculations and analysis of production capacity of enterprises.
The research directions and indicators used in assessing production capacity are analyzed: the number of units of production equipment, the shift of equipment, mechanization of auxiliary work, automation of main production processes, the average level of equipment wear, the average specific output of a unit of equipment, the share of advanced technologies, and many others. We also consider the positive trend of changes in individual indicators, which allows increasing production capacity. The balance of production capacity of the enterprise for certain types of products is given.
The article analyzes the indicators of the efficiency of using the production capacity of enterprises, which can be evaluated in kind and labor assessment by the corresponding coefficients.
Extensive and intensive methods used in the construction of a system for improving the efficiency of enterprise capacity management are considered.
